Vegas NAB convention day 1

Well, the "job fair" was a bust due to a complete lack of companies actually hiring/showing. Some companies said they had plenty of positions to fill, but no money to fund the salaries. The only true prospects were radio oriented and didn't want a video man, no matter how multifaceted with audio knowledge. The only people truly hiring were the cruise ships, one of which only wanted sales ambassadors on commission with one year contracts... and unless I want to be "ON A BOAT" for the next year of my short life, I think I'll pass.  Grad school next Fall is looking pretty good right now.

On a better note, the convention itself is incredible!  It would be a good time to have money. Sigh...
I just need the funds to get my camera and then I'll be in business.  Oh, and that camera those two guys are playing with is a new approach to 3D from Panasonic. Dual irises that record to separate onboard cards. Fantastic!
